Chocolate Peanut Butter Milkshake - a quick and easy chocolate peanut butter milkshake that makes the perfect for a sweet treat!

Sometimes a milkshake is the best sort of after school snack. A chocolate peanut butter milkshake, to be exact. This isn't an everyday after school snack though. These are for special occasions and celebrating achievements. This shake can even be something to help pick your kid up after a hard day of school. Ice cream, it's a mood changer!

My little guy is starting kindergarten in a little over a month. I'm not sure if he's ready for it. After meeting with one of the kindergarten teachers, I'm pretty sure it's going to be a little more intense than preschool that he attended last year. Lucian loves learning though. He's my little knowledge sponge. Like earlier today, he asked me what skin was made up of. What five-year-old wants to know that? So, I had to google it. I have to google a lot of strange things so I can give him a factual answer.

We all know how busy it gets once the kids are back in school. Especially if there are after school activities! Lucian and his dad both do jiu-jitsu during the week. We are always rushing to get places. To cut down on time, I have a couple of things that I do and that will make your life a little easier as a busy mom making this milkshake!

  • Bake your cookies off ahead of time, let them cool completely and freeze them. I used the Nestlé TOLL HOUSE® freezer and oven cookie dough. The cookies didn't stick together in the freezer bag while freezing. If you're using homemade cookies, be sure to add wax paper in between the layers of cooled cookies to prevent them from clumping together. **To thaw, remove from the freezer back. I set mine on paper towels on the counter. You don't want soggy cookies!
  • To prevent a huge sticky milkshake mess in your house or car, pour the milkshake into a glass that has a lid and straw. I recommend the Pioneer Woman 16 oz. mason jars with lids and straws. They come in a four pack and can be found at Walmart.
