I've lived in a couple different places in my adult life of which all included Upstate New York. So these romantic restaurants may be scattered a bit, but if you're in the vicinity of one, I highly recommend stopping by!
The hubs and I went to college in Alfred, NY which is right next door to Hornell. That, my friends, was back in 2005 when Paddy's was then called Grady's. The hubby and I used to come here for romantic dates during the college years, back when he was still a boyfriend. Then, after we got married, we celebrated our anniversaries here until we moved away. Paddy's is located at 66 Broadway Hornell, NY 14843.
The dinners were always phenomenal! My favorite which I still crave on a regular basis is the Sauteed Sirloin Tips pasta dish. This dish is heaven. Give it a try. I promise it will make your romantic dinner mind blowing.

Next up is Sidney and Oneonta, New York.
We moved three hours away to my husband's hometown where we began going out and discovering other restaurants that we could enjoy. The husband took me to the Angus and Ale for the first time in Sidney, NY.
It was actually for my birthday, but still a special dinner date. It was perfectly lit to set the mood. That night I think I ordered the caesar salad and prime rib. I loved the prime rib, it was perfectly cooked and juicy as ever. However, the caesar salad is where it's at. I think it was the fresh parmesan shavings that did it for me. It's good enough that I can say just talking about this caesar salad makes me anxious to have another. The Angus and Ale is located at 66 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838
Another romantic restaurant that the husband just had to take me to was The Depot Restaurant in Oneonta, NY.
He took me because he loves the food not so much for the romance. That's a man for you. After chatting with a friend just the other day, I discovered her husband actually proposed to her there. Now, that has to be romantic, right? It also has some mood light and a beautiful fire place.
My husband and I love the pasta marinara. The man that doesn't like any kind of tomato sauce raves about this pasta marinara. There's something fantastic to this marinara, I'm telling you. Next time we go there, I will be checking into wraps. They have a garbage wrap that looks mouth-watering. If you're thinking the name doesn't sound that delightful, you should know they have some famous jumbo chicken wings that they call garbage wings. They're slathered in their secret sauce. Yum! Thank goodness Valentine's day is coming up. I'm craving a knee-shaking good meal. The Depot Restaurant is located at 4 ½ Railroad Ave. Oneonta, NY 13820
You're likely to see Wesley and I at any of these places on our nights out. Any of these restaurants is the perfect place to take your sweetheart for Valentine's day!
